The clock strikes twelve on July 31st, summer has come to an end, it is now officially FALL!! Okay, well not “technically” according to calendars (what do they know) which say the first day of fall isn’t until September 22nd, BUT for all my fall lovers out there, HOORAY! The best season has arrived. And in honor of the best season, I am sharing with you my ultimate fall bucket list! Let’s dive right in!
Pumpkins
This one single word can mean SO MANY THINGS you guys!
Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Carving, Pumpkin Home Decor, Pumpkin Roll, the list goes on..
If your fall bucket list doesn’t include at least one of these pumpkin activities listed above, you are missing out!
Apples
Similar to pumpkins, there are MANY options with these little guys as well!
Apple Picking
Apple Pie
Bobbing for Apples (although probably not the best option in 2020, lol)
Homemade apple butter and applesauce
As I said with pumpkins, if you don’t have an apple activity on your fall bucket list, add it.
Hayrides
This is one of the most authentic fall activities I can think of!
Taking a little afternoon excursion to a nearby (or far away!) farm, getting onto a hay trailer lined with bales to serve as bench seating, and having a tractor pull you off on a bumpy farm “road” to an orchard (apples, see above, lol) or patch (a.k.a. pumpkins!!) – there is nothing better!!
Props if the farm you visit also has a cute, little farmer’s market type set-up in their barn where you can find the best kettle corn, honey sticks, home decor, and other homegrown goodies. You all know I’m a sucker for a good farmer’s market.
Bonfires
What is fall without a good bonfire? Bonfires are the best for cozying up with a good book, making S’mores with friends, or having a romantic evening with your partner!
I also am going to be sharing with you guys some AMAZING campfire cooking recipes in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!!
Nature Hikes
As you all know, I am an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors. There is always something so magical and enchanting about fall.
The leaves changing colors, creating the most beautiful forest scenery you can escape into. Leaves crunching beneath your feet as you explore the wilderness.
Be sure to either whip out your phone or camera to capture the amazing fall foliage!
Flannels, Cozy Sweaters, Leggings, & Boots
The ultimate fall attire. Make a quick search on Pinterest for fall fashion and I can GUARANTEE the outfits will all be comprised of these four amazing things!
If it wasn’t so extremely hot in Maryland in the summers, I would wear this attire year-round!
Give Thanks
While this is also important year-round, fall is the season in which many of us truly reflect on all we are grateful for and get to share this thanks with our friends and family.
Although I am not sure how the holidays this year will look (Halloween, Thanksgiving), I know I will still be making it a point to practice gratitude and give thanks for all the blessings in my life.
& that’s a wrap!!
You tell me, are there some things on my fall bucket list that are also essentials for your fall season? Are there any you would add?
