When you see that a Doughnut shop local to you is having Harry Potter Doughnut Month, you run. I didn’t think there was a world that would combine two of my all time favorite loves. Doughnuts and Harry Potter – it just sounds unreal.
Yesterday, Alyssa of @AWC.Calligraphy and I took an adventure and visited Hampden, Baltimore. Hampden is a cool, hip area of Baltimore that is known for their laid back style and filled with cool shops, restaurants, and bars. Who cares about a happy hour cocktail when you can have a happy hour donut!!!
Full Circle Artisan Palace seemed like the right place to be. Full Circle calls itself an “Unconventional, #WomanOwned, Doughnut Palace. You can’t miss the pink stairs that lead you into the adorably quaint and decorated pastry shop. Once inside and greeted by the owner, I was immediately drawn to how above and beyond she went with the Harry Potter theme. Glad I wore my Harry Potter sweatshirt. I fit right into the scenery!
The flavors of the day were named after memorable Potter memories such as, Hufflepuff, Butter Beer, Dark Mark, Floo Powder, Potter Spice, Felix Felicis, and Deathly Hallows. Let me tell you – my favorite was Felix Felicis. Described by Full Circle as “Old Fashioned,” it truly lived to its name. I am a classic lover when it comes to my donuts. Basically it was your typical glazed, but it was amazing! It was extremely fresh and the icing was perfect and not too sweet and over whelming. Unfortunately, I am not a huge chocolate lover and majority of these choices were chocolate based. However, my taste tester Alyssa said they were absolutely delicious. I brought some home for Jeff and he also enjoyed the chocolate ones!
It was definitely worth the trip to the city to try these babies. Cheers to Full Circle. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Baltimore and looking for a yummy treat. Can’t wait to see what next months theme is going to be!!
