I’m going to be honest. It’s almost 2pm and I haven’t been super productive today. Drinking tea and reading is about the extent of my day, give or take some Charlie snuggles.
Am I the only person who thinks you need a vacation from your vacation? It’s super hard getting back into the swing of things – but necessary.
This afternoon is going to be all about rebooting back to normalcy. Time to sit down and go over the goals and tasks I need to accomplish this week. Finding balance is a huge deal to me. Without structure I find myself to be one of the biggest procrastinators out there!!
What do you do to realign? Making lists are a huge helper for me. I like to write down my daily and weekly VIP tasks and check off each accomplished one as I go. Who else love making lists? I can’t be the only freak out there. Like I mentioned earlier, without To Do lists I would procrastinate!
Something else I like to do after a trip is clean the house. If I don’t have a clean work space, I won’t be able to focus. This has always been something I’ve struggled with. I am totally the girl that takes her shoes off and walks away. Or takes off my winter coat and drapes it over a chair instead of hanging it up in the closet. I constantly have to remind myself that if I follow through with these tasks it makes working so much easier for me. Especially because my work desk / office is located within the master bed room.
