Happy April, Yall. I can’t believe we are almost out of cold seasons and starting to experience warmer weather. I will say, allergies are kicking my ass, but I’ll take it, I suppose. I wanted to pop in and tell you about a few products I’m currently obsessing over. Lets call it, my Top Five Spring Essentials.
I’ll just be that girl and start with allergy medicine. I can’t live without it. Claritin Non Drowsy Indoor and Outdoor tablets are my main spring go to. Talk about essential! They say that your allergies change every few years. Well I am waiting for the year that I don’t suffer from spring allergies. Hell, allergies in general. It seems like the older I get the more things I become allergic to. A few years ago I went to the doctor and took one of those allergy tests where they prick all up and down your arms and I couldn’t even begin to tell you everything I am actually allergic to. Bleach, Several types of trees, dust, all animal dander’s; like that stops me from snuggling my little Charlie guy all day every day. I used to get shots twice and week and boy what a commitment that was. Over the years I’ve just switched to over the counter Claritin and I’ll take the relief. DM me with all home remedies, I mean it!
My newest spring essential is the new Disney Villains collection from Colourpop Cosmetics. I am obsessing over the Hades Collection. Each set comes with a Lux Lipstick, Super Shock Highlighter, and Ultra Glossy Lip. Ursula, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Dr Facilier also have their own collection. My skin tones works best with the peachy tones from the Hades collection. Colorpop is super affordable and their products are made will killer pigmentation and rich, creamy, formulas; so good! Did I mention they are super affordable?
This wouldn’t be an episode of Chapters & Tea if I didn’t have a good book on my list of essentials. My current read is Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis. Rachel Hollis fan girl, RIGHT HERE! No Shame in my Rachel Hollis game. Ladies, if you’re listening to this, my main recommendation is to purchase all of Rachel Hollis’ books, especially Girl, Wash Your Face and Girl, Stop Apologizing. These books give me so much life and so much motivation to be the best version of myself and kick ass daily! If you need some extra pump up motivation, listen to these books on audio. Rachel is the narrator and hearing her voice just sets the bar higher and makes you want to work even harder towards accomplishing goals!
My go to outfit piece this spring has definitely been my jean jacket that was kindly gifted to me from Dress Barn. To finish off my list of Top 5 Spring Essentials, I would like to share with you something I discovered yesterday as an impulse purchase. Crafters Union Premium Wine in a can is definitely the quintessential warm weather go to! Each can holds two and a half glasses of wine. TWO AND A HALF GLASSES OF WINE! Hello, wine in a can people; talk about the future. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good vineyard day and fancy wine sipping, but how convenient is it going to be to have a boozy picnic, backyard party, or just a quick grab and go beverage to bring to a girls night?
