Long Island, New York /// May 2019 #WanderWithSarahS

I can’t believe we are just one month away from the launch of our 2019 travel series, #WadnerWithSarahS. The research process has been so much fun and I can’t wait for you to finally see what we’ve been working on.

This past weekend, Jeff and I traveled to Long Island, New York to visit family and outline the final touches for the new series.

One of our favorite stops on this weekend away was Beth Page State Park, home of the 2019 PGA Championship. The second Major of the year is going to be played here later in the month. It was so cool being able to check out the prestigious black course and watch the preparation take place. The spectators grandstands were in place and ready to host thousands. We walked most of the property also checking out the club house, gardens, and other houses located on the premises. Although the weather was overcast and rainy, we still made the best of this little visit. As big golf fans, it’s always fun to check out the places where the pros play. We’re rooting for another Tiger Woods victory!

Next we headed to a charming restaurant named Dirty Taco & Tequila located in Wantagh, NY. The atmosphere was cool and the menu was amazing. Jeff and I ordered tacos with an Asian/Mexican flare. The flavors went so well together. Unfortunately, not everyone in our party enjoyed it as much as we did, but the owners and staff went above and beyond to ensure a return visit. Cheers to the staff of Dirty Taco, fantastic service despite not everyone enjoying their meal.

After lunch we made another pit stop to Jones Beach located off the Southern Coast of Long Island. Like I mentioned earlier, it wasn’t the prettiest day, but at this point the rain had stopped and the chill in the air wasn’t so bad. We walked the coast taking in the beautiful sandy beach and family friendly atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and see this place when its in full swing. I would definitely recommend checking this place out over the summer if you are local to the Long Island area. Check back later in the summer for a full review on this beach!

We spent the rest of the weekend hanging with family and getting excited to explore other parts of New York. We have multiple trips planned to visit all over the state and are excited to check a few things off our list.

Who else is looking forward to summer travel? This was just a little taste of the excitement we have planned for this summer. The content is going to be amazing and time traveling is always an adventure. Stay tuned for all announcements and details to come on #WanderWithSarahS.
